Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU)

Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is a public institution located in the Vancouver, British Columbia metropolitan area in Canada. We are providing 140 academic programs in 7 different faculties. About 20,000 students attend the KPU every year, making it one of the largest universities in the British Columbia.

Most of our programs include courses on labor experience, practice and theoretical-practical lessons (cooperative programs). KPU also maintains a close cooperation with concerned-field professionals ensuring that graduates are ready to come into the workforce.

  • KPU courses consist of a maximum of 35 students but many other courses are even lesser. You will get fond links with your instructors, your classmates and with the professionals of the industry.
  • Our instructors have wide practical experience in their fields and feel enthusiastic about teaching. Presently, there are over 70 investigators working on active sponsored investigation projects.
  • Our international student’s advisers dedicated team (International Students Advisors) are here with us for attending the international students’ needs in their transition to Canada, planning their academic courses and many other things.
 

Qualifications offered by KPU

KPU provides you with a wide range of programs and qualifications for pre-graduate and postgraduate students, which include: 

  • Certifications (6 months to 1 year)
  • Diplomas (2 years)
  • Technical diplomas (2 years)
  • Bachelor’s degrees (4 years)
  • Post bachelor’s degree diplomas (1 to 2 years)
  • Postgraduate certifications (1 to 2 years)
  • Postgraduate diplomas (1 to 2 years)

 

Admission requisites

Admission requisites for pre-graduate students

For admittance as a pre-graduate program student, you must:

  • Be proficient in the English language for KPU’s pre-graduate programs
  • Have you been obtained the high school diploma (secondary school) or having been already obtained 24 credits or more at pre-graduate level with a general cumulative minimum average of 2.0*

*Do you fail to meet this requisite? If you are aged 19 years or older on the first day classes start, you may be admitted as an adult student at the general secretary opinion. Please contact us for you to receive more information.

Admission requisites for postgraduate or master’s degree students

For admittance as a postgraduate or masters’ program student, you must:

  • Be proficient in the English language for KPU’s pre-graduate programs
  • Prove that you have satisfactorily obtained a pre-graduate or postgraduate degree of a reputable program

Certain programs include certain other admission requisites or particular program’s recommendations additional to the general requisites herein contained. Check for the program details on our international brochure for additional information on each program.

 

Scholarships and awards

Starting your university education in a new country is a major decision. You deserve an important scholarship.

We know that tertiary education is a significant investment, but we are here to assist you. We are proud to offer several scholarships, awards and financial assistance to all students studying in KPU.

  • There are available almost $2 million for scholarships and awards per year for KPU students
  • There are reserved $265 000 for scholarships and awards are reserved every year for new students
  • Fall of each year are granted relevant admission scholarships amounting to $20 000 (6 scholarship holders) and $5000 (18 scholarship holders)
